Hilarious Kitchen Aid Mixer Review

Kitchen Aid MixerI blew the motor in my electric mixer when I was making the frosting for Eden’s  birthday cake a few weeks back. No kidding….I’m sure this must be at least the 6th mixer I’ve gone through in the past 10 years. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I buy a really cheap one or something a bit more expensive. Of course, my dream is to own a heavy duty Kitchen Aid mixer with the stand and bowl. Although I’ve always been too cheap to pay $400 for a mixer,  I must admit I’m starting to see it more as a necessity than a luxury.  Anyway, I was checking out mixers on the Costco site and thought I would read some product reviews, as there were a few different models to choose from. I came across this review and just had to share it. It is too funny…way to go “Geek Dad”!

  1. Oh funny. I used to work for them, and all my kitchen appliances are Kitchen Aid including the big mixer. You have to get one Cindy, and they go on sale all the time. Do you want the one where you lift up the head, or do you want the one (more money and power) where the handle lifts/lowers the bowl like an elevator. They are indestructible whichever you choose because they are solid state (no moving parts in the motor) unlike motors that have a belt that burns out. It will be the best investment you ever make, so big sales are coming up for Valentine’s Day and this is all you ever want or will ever want. I urge you to buy the last mixer you will ever want or need. They really are worth the money.

    • I noticed that many people were complaining about the “arm” being loose and rattling when mixing on the commercial grade one. Which type do you have?

  2. Hi Cindy. I have had the Professional HD 475watts in Empire Red (the one that lifts like a elevator) for about 6 years now and I LOVE it!! I have lived with carpal tunnel and this machine has saved me! Cookie, cakes, eggs for making scrambled eggs, dough and even mixing my meatloaf! I don’t even own a hand mixer anymore. Get one, you will never regret it!
